It can be okay to take it speculatively if you really want to though.Euro truck sim 2, qauke live, counter strike(not cs:go),day of deafeat and what ever comes on sale before i get my deck It's better than Thunder on bosses but I don't think very highly of thunder anyway. Most room battles will be over well before you get to cast Tri Rag a third time. It's always gonna either cost money or be next to two other cards that you'd potentially be missing out on by taking Tri Force.

You're never just gonna be offered a Tri Force by itself for free (unless you're playing shopkeeper). I'm gonna make it clear again that I'm evaluating all of these cards with opportunity cost in mind. A lot of the time moving is way riskier than just standing in the right spot to begin with. Personally I think most people move to much and too frantically. Even in the end game there are gonna be plenty of spots where you can meditate for 0.5 seconds and be fine. I'm gonna chalk this one up to personal preference.Ġ.5 seconds isn't a super long time, it's about the same anchor time as bow snipe. The difference is that with mana fusion when you get the mana you now have 5 mana instead of 2. If you have no mana you'll have to wait to get mana with or without focus. The work you put into making limit break good is usually better spent elsewhere.Įither way you're gonna have to wait for mana. Like I said you can make limit break work well, the issue I have with it is how much work it takes. There are just better damage options you could be putting in the deck assuming you don't already have very major spell power pay offs. If you get it towards the end of a fight it's kind of a dead card. The issue with this is unlike artifacts you need to actually get to the focus in your deck before it starts working. But yeah, I keep it on Solo Saffron, can be useful to bypass Self Defense Turrets and to save hostages. The real issue for me with Whirl, aside from Anchor, is that for a newer player, you try to place enemies at a distance of 4 from you, and then this messes you up and has very high mental overhead. Helps solve early damage problems, as you discussed with Money Shot. Tri Rag is like Thunder, a decent 1 cost spell to pick up early, regardless of anything else. No mental overhead, no drawbacks? I'll just take it. Tri Force is a card I'd pick up in most runs, because unlike the other 0 cost spells, you don't need to aim it or think about it, you just spam it out and you're fine. Whereas freezing for 0.5 seconds after the early game is terrible. Mana Potion you can decide to not pick up the potion, but still get a spell proc. And another marker on your side of the board when it's already swamped in the late-game. Mana Potion - I avoid "catch" cards mostly because they add another thing to pay attention to, that adds to mental overhead.

I need mana to make more, but often if I want to pick such a card, I run into situations where I have no mana. The downside is indeed that you have to wait to have max mana to cast it, much more than the mana reduction it gives. And the Cross shape does help in landing more of it. 4 Spell Power with it is a lot of damage. Limit Break is decent, in part because it hits 40 damage. 2 spell power is actually quite a bit, I specifically look for it in Viruspell or Kunai decks, as they have mana to spare as well. I actually often focus Convergence just for Focus. Disagree on Focus, it's 2 mana for what most Spell Power artifacts give, and those usually come with a downside.
